Pretty cool about Peggy Whitson now holding the US Space Endurance record!!

What was this quote about, though: ""Station, Moscow, on SG-1 for landing," a flight controller called from Moscow."

Who or what did SG-1 refer to!?! [Big Grin]

I haven't heard of anyone using a percolator in like 20 years anyway. But the thing is, you know, "ci" is not pronounced "ki" but rather "si." Grammar police have spoken. [Razz]

You can have my percolator, if you can pry it out of my cold, dead kitchen.

Percolators are very established in Sweden. Despite the easier maintenance than ordinary machines it is also a thermos in its own so the coffee keeps fresh longer than in a glass pot, without getting overheated and bitter. Throw in some arrack on the side and you got yourself a cup of "omg lol coffee".

Also good on the side, beef sandwich with creamed horseradish. Oh god I hate these weeks before payday.
It is pronounced with a "k" though, perkolator.

Sounds like Peggy Whitson and crew are somewhat lucky to be home in one piece.

They landed 20 minutes later than scheduled and 260 miles off target. The article also said they experienced 10 g's, although I'm not sure whether or not that's normal for a Soyuz capsule reentry.

I seem to remember that polemic man from South Carolina that took every opportunity to explain that SC didn't fight for the South in the civil war. Or was it the other way around?
