Long-term is fine to think of ...

But, yeah, the families of the victims need to be taken care of first before the Red Cross starts deciding to upgrade their facilities.

Something is rotten in the state of aid agencies...

I can understand that the Red Cross organisation has dire need for better facilities. But I can't approve of their methods to obtain them; grabbing a percentage of donated (!) money and using it as they see fit, then covering it up afterwards.

Isn't this the "newspaper" that the Canadians keep reminding us is their equivalent of The National Enquirer?

No, that's just The Star. This is The Toronto Star, a respectable newspaper.

"The Star" is a British tab. "The [insert Canadian city here] Sun" would be a Canadian tab.

The Toronto Star is the broadsheet paper serving the Toronto market noted for fairly repubtable journalism, albeit with a leftish lean.

Speaking of which, the story is leading (at least) the FOX news tonight.

"Daily Star". But close enough. It's pretty low-brow.

Bah! "Sun", "Star", whatever... It's all just a bunch of flaming gas, anyway...
