All the french I have met seemed like very nice people, and I have spent months at a time with them. My one trip to Paris was very pleasant everyone I met was very friendly and helpful. I guess the attitude you receive depends on the attitude you send out to people.

Well, I've never been to France but there were some exchange students from Paris at our school. There were about a dozen of them. They just huddled in thier own group and wouldn't talk to anybody. A small news-bit in the Toronto Globe and Mail yesterday, reported the results of a survey which concluded that, a growing number of Americans think that there are too many "Ugly Americans". (Go figure why they capitalized it throughout)
