Looks like it's back to the good 'ol days of bible studies and burning of heritics in Kansas.

The battle for children's education in the face of the new political/religious monster is about to heat up.

Make no mistake though- such fuckery will not be contained to the U.S.if it's allowed.

quote:
Calvert said museum exhibits such as the one in Lawrence are flawed because they ask visitors to believe humans evolved randomly, with no specific purpose or design by a higher power -- a theory polls show a majority of Americans do not believe.
So children are supposed to be taught based on public's opinion now? The same public that has polled to reveal such "truths" as alien abductions, faked moon landings and the earth revolving around the sun? The same public that (generally) thinks Saddam was behind 9/11?

Evolution....er God help us all!

Yes, soon the law of Gravity will be relaced with the law of "Intelligent Falling Down".

Mabye they'll combine their loose definition of torture with their fanatical religious beliefs and give us a new inquisition.

Not the funny Monty Python sort though.

a Thought: If we were created for a purpose why don't we know what it is?

If I believed in "god" then I'd say our purpose on earth is to amuse him, we're just one big video game for him to see what would happen if a billion "intelligent" beings were stuck on a ball of rock hurtling through the cosmos at He only knows how fast.

BTW: I use the term intellegent VERY loosely...

I know what my purpose is.

Let us just say it's not "church apporved" and may defy the natural order of things.

But the Earth does revolve around the sun...

Intelligent Pushing & Tripping, actually, and while the theory makes no reference to a pusher or tripper, IPT theorist Michael Tee-hee admits that, personally, he thinks it is the Christian God. After all, he says, God thinks the sound of the breaking hips of his eldest believers is like audio ambrosia.

Of course, Pastafarians know that it is not the Christian God, and that the pushings and trippings are done via the FSM and His Noodly Appendage.
