Luckily the flag amendment failed to pass the Senate so now Mr. Bush can cut that cake.
It's a good thing because CNN reports that text of the amendment as:
quote:"The Congress shall have power to prohibit the physical desecration of the flag of the United States."
I imagine that cutting and eating a flag cut be taken as "physical desecration of the flag of the United States."
Not by anyone sane mind you, but hey, it's what the amendment says.

Wow! He sweats just like we do! I'd get behind whatever this "man of the people" thinks is right!
It would not suprise me to find the whole image staged- some republican intern is just off camera with a water bottle to "simulate sweat" for the press.
