The Imperial walkers seemed like a good idea at the time, but the Stormtroopers knew they were doomed when the small holes on the bottom of the walkers' feet became stuck on the small pegs sticking out of the ground...

Imperial Engineer: "They are finished, my Emperor! Behold, the first AT/ATs!"

...

Stormtrooper: "So, ehhmm... how do we move these things?"

Side-note: WOW!

Luke: Obi-Wan, we've reached the land of "too much free time on my hands."

Obi-Wan: Yes, be careful Luke.

Chewbacca: Roar roar roar whine.

Han Solo: What is it, Chuy? ::sees the transports:: Holy droids!

Leia: Oh my... The reports were right. The Empire has switched from Duplo blocks to Lego blocks!

Newly hired strategic planner: "As you can see from this model I've been working on, sir, we could have troops in Baghdad within two weeks."

Pentagon official: "..."

"You're fired."

Hunt saboteurs were soon to wish the Government had declared Fox Hunting completely illegal, rather than just having the old horse-and-hound methods declared inhumane.

At the moment, Vogon Poet is winning [Smile]

I also hope Vogon doesn't mind me posting a CapCom, but that image was just too priceless not to.

Harry -- if you'll note, the two Walkers aren't designed the same. I think two different people built them ... look at the main body (especially the troop access), the neck, the heads, and the legs. Yes, very much WOW!

Kevin Lee's Walker is here ... it looks good, but I'm not sure if it's the one in the picture or not. It might be, but Shaun Sullivan's page (from where the above image was listed) shows two Walkers ... so who knows?

Stormtrooper #23: "Hey watch where you're stepping with that thing!"

AT-AT: ::Stomp::

Stormtrooper #23: "Oh my god, you killed Kenny!"
Stormtrooper #14: "You bastards!"

Orange Rebel: Oh My God!!! They're coming for me...shit I'm stuck...

Hanging Stormtrooper: My Lord, it appears that the entire platoon is immobile including the walkers. Maybe we should have been built out of playdoh or Barbie dolls instead...

Emperor: Unfortunately we have a contract with Legos until Episode III...besides I don't look good in Barbie Pink.

jeez, i never built anything that big with lego. the biggest things i've ever biult were life size models of guns. i had a thompson M1928 with the famouse 50 rnd drum mag. i had an ak-47. an H&K Mp5k. and a Bennilli tactical 12 gauge. not many moving parts, the mags could come off, and the ak-47 had a sliding stock. i wish i had pics, or the lego to re-biuld them. ah memories!

I've seen bigger... hell I've built bigger models out of those suckers. It's just that I made office buildings with elevators and roof top restaurants with penthouses underneath.

May I ask? Are you a millionaire? [Wink] Or are Lego bricks much cheaper in the U.S.?
I've been building lots of Lego models, but never that big. To buy that many bricks would cost ****converts Euros to Dollars**** at least a few thousand dollars.
Wow!

Hint: these aren't actually HIS models.

They're not (mine) ... but you can always buy Legos in bulk, you know.

Posted by Austin Powers (Member # 250) on :

Sorry for possibly sounding stupid, but how can you buy them in bulk?
I've asked all the shops I know about that for years, even wrote an email to LEGO, and everyone said that it's not possible! [Confused] [Confused] [Confused]
