It's been quite a while since I've started up a contest...

Anyway, Omega and I were discussing the cancellation of Farscape by the Sci-Fi Channel, and then we started talking about what we would have our own science-fiction station air. So, here's the contest:

You are now in charge of a science-fiction station. You have to fill up an entire week's worth of programming, starting from 12:00 AM Sunday and going to 11:59 PM Saturday.

The guidelines you must follow are:

You can only use existing shows or movies or combinations of existing shows or movies. I'm sure you're asking "Combinations?" Here's an example: An episode of MST3K where Transformers: The Movie gets screened. That episode doesn't exist in real life, but MST3K and Transformers: The Movie do.

All programming must be sci-fi or fantasy. I'll let you use your own best judgement on that.

You must use specific episode titles when placing TV shows. You can't say that Star Trek will be on at 3:00 PM. You can say that the Star Trek episode "The Trouble With Tribbles" will be on at 3:00 PM.

All entries must be sent to me via PM by September 14. This is to prevent you rival executives from ripping each other off.

After September 14, I'll start another thread here where all entries will be shown. Everyone will then post whose station they would be watching at which times. The station with the most person-hours (I guess that's the best term) wins.

Any questions can be asked in this thread, but DON'T post your entries here!

Hmmm... an interesting challenge.

I assume that "Chain Reaction" type features are a no-no? [Wink]

Well, this was definitely an interesting idea -- but frankly, I don't have enough experience with enough sci-fi shows to name specific episodes of a series. I can name plenty of series -- but many of them I've never watched, and therefore can't name. Shows like "Battlestar Galactica" and "Earth: Final Conflict" or "Red Dwarf" -- never watched them (yet).

However, if it's acceptable to simply name a series to put in a certain slot, then I may give it a shot.

imho, Galactica sucks, the first season of Earth: Final Conflict rocks and the rest sucks, and all of Red Dwarf rocks, except for series 7 and 8, which suck.
