Arcadians
Ariolo
Arkenites
Bzzit Khaht
Caitians
Kasheeta
Xelatians

Are ALL of these from the TVH makeup department? I know that Caitians are, but what about the others. Did they originate with the makeup guys, or did they come from fandom sources such as FASA? And are we pretty sure of the matching of those names with the faces from the movie?

This question sounds vagely familiar

Try asking the webmaster of http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Station/1558/UFP1.html. He seems to know his aliens.

What our simian friend means, is that these names are of aliens seen in the STIV Federation council.

I remember all of these names, and the aliens they matched up with, from the FASA manual on the subject. Whether the makeup people gave them names as well, I don't know. Here's what I do remember:

Ariolo: The centaur people. Don't remember seeing them in the council.

Arkenite: That hairless, pointy-eared Starfleet officer who said that Leningrad had lost all power.

Caitians & Kasheeta: Already know.

Xelations: Those wiry-haired guys with the metal masks on their faces (not to be confused with the Zaranites, who also had breathing masks on. Three different types of Zaranites exist: The TMP version with large two-lobed foreheads, the TVH version with no forehead lobes, and the TUC version, essentially the same as the TVH version, but with a cloth mesh covering the masks.)

If anyone's interested in seeing them, I have ST trading cards with both photos & artwork of the aliens from both TMP and TVH that I could scan. Unfortunately, since there's no more upload page, I'd have to email them to someone to post on their own webspace.
