I was wondering about Neelix recently. Everyone on Voyager wants to return to Earth but for Neelix it means going to the other side of the galaxy and never seeing Talax again. What happens if he does not like Earth when Voyager does return home?

Star Trek RINAX

A talaxian ship stranded on the other side of the galaxy, trying to get home.
Her captain, a female Talaxian Janxwaxy.

And reprising in another fully useless role- Neelix!

Oh, btw Neelix homeworld is called Rinax.

Yeah, a moon of Telax. Destroyed by the metrion cascade, as I recall...

Well that would be very sad, nx. Neelix is a good man. And he's seen some bad shit. Lost both his sisters and his girlfriend, which was his last link to his past.
He's even better when he's being serious.

Neelix had, prior to meeting Voyager, been doing a pretty good job of getting away from Talax/ia on his own. I got the impression he didn't have much to keep him there after the war.

Yah. He knew from the get go that they would be heading out of the quadrant and it didn't seem to bother him too much. Of cousre, in the beginning they were actually heading toward the Talaxian system and just happened to be passing by in "Jetrel". If he had any compunctions about never seeing his home system again, they would have come up then and there.

Wasn't it Melmac? No wait, I'm thinking of something else.

"Janeway to Alf. Have you seen my cat, by any chance?"

Or perhaps we should just have, instead of Captain Janeway, Captain Shumway...
