Jones was fired after four seasons on TNG
GEE I WONDER WHY HE IS BITTER ABOUT EVERYTHING AFTER SEASON 4 OF TNG. WHAT A COMPLETE MISTERY!

Well, that, and all music in Star Trek from at least that point on has been shit.

Mystery, even.

Though, I mean, it's funny to notice how this fellow seems to think he matters. MUSIC FOR VALUSOFT GAMES? CAN I HAVE YOUR AUTOGRAPH? I mean, he isn't, say, Vangelis.

And even if he was, he'd still be little more than a tiny grey cog in the Very Large Machine. But famous!

I would also care less, except he did the music for The Best of Both Worlds, which is really atypical of TNG music. It's also really good.

Chattaway's early stuff was also good, notably "Tin Man." And McCarthy turned out good stuff, like "Call To Arms". But, by and large, Trek music is a tad dull and forgettable.

People you get fired from Trek seem to be very, very, very bitter. Jones and Probert really could learn a thing or two from Sternbach about how to leave gracefully.

Wait, Probert was bitter?

Well, Trek TV music sucks. Movie music rocks. Like, all of it.

Oh no, he was charming and graceful. An anti-lemon, if you will. God bless those dustbusters.

I thought Sternback designed the dustbusters?

Andy Probert is my friend, but I'll be the first to admit he can be a bit curmudgeonly. [Big Grin] He really liked working with Gene, but it's pretty obvious he didn't get along with Berman. Chalk it up to clashing personalities, maybe. I've heard him talk about a lot of other film and TV projects and rarely heard him say anything bad about most of them.
