Of course if this is for film-making, I'd recommend hardboard and chrome spray paint. Less chance of injuring someone and you can make a dozen with a sheet of it, a decent pattern and a sabre saw.

I know some people, Mark (although none of the top of my head who make edged-weapon props/replicas, but they might be able to help), I'll ask around.

That one from the casino sucks. It looks like it was sculpted from clay. I'm assuming this was a background prop from the show, and thus the high price.
