After a string of relatively "blah" episodes, we finally return with one of the fan faves Enhanced!

Trekmovie.com Preview Here

In particular, they're premiering the anticipated "better" version of the model, and it already looks more appropriate. We'll be seeing a D-7 and the K-7 station too. One wonders if they'll fix other things like the number of moving tribbles, or the tiny Enterprise model hanging outside the office window, that looks like... A tiny model.

I hope that we need to see the various characters from "Trials and Tribble-ations" spliced into the background. That would be friggin' awesome. (Sadly, this is probably unlikely, 'cause it would mean more royalties and payments to the actors.)

Not if you only see some tall bald black guy in a yellow leiutenants shit, a stocky white guy with wiry brown hair and a leggy brunette with a beehive from behind...

It would be difficult or impossible to put them into all the places they're supposed to be, as there isn't enough footage.

They're not even useing the (amazing) DS9 shots of the D-7 or K-7.
New (and no where near as good, I'm sure) CGI models will get used.

Lameness.

It would be more lame if they re-used the DS9 footage. It wouldn't match with the rest of the show's remastered effects. Besides, Jein's Enterprise model, though impressive, is not particularly accurate.

They shouldn't use any DS9 elements as one would assume that the timeline hasn't been 'tampered' with at the time of the original episode.

One thought - are they going to replace the Tholian Captain with the Enteprise version in The Tholian Web??

They probably won't use the same model, but they may go in the same direction.

Based on their record so far, they'll do the same kind of shot, but with a computer modelled head.

The pics of the episode are up on Trekmovie, for those who haven't seen the episode.

It's supposed to be the new Enterprise model, and I got the impression they were going to do something about those nacelle caps. But they look just as grey and lifeless as they did in all the other episodes. It's great though that they're willing to assess their own work and make improvements, unlike some previous Treks.

I really love this shot for some reason.

The K-7 model looks authentic and the D-7 looks as TOSish as it should. The 1701 even has its impulse engines lit up at the end as it flies off.

Yep that new Enterprise is sweet and the bussard collectors look a lot more faithfull to the original model's collectors.

I never noticed how much Scotty took cues from Dean Martin before.

PNG & JPG, both 684 x 504.

The definition of "high resolution" sure has taken a hit...
