Tellarites.

(it should be pointed out that Berman and Braga now face a new problem: they have met the feckless demands of the whiners to such an extent that we're quickly closing on there being literally no TOS aliens left unseen or unmentioned. How will the bitchers be placated in season 4?)

Orion Slave Girls? TNG-DS9-Voyager races known to be active in the 22nd centuary ie Trill and Bolians? Grab random races from TUC?

If I had more faith in Enteprise, this would've been great news. Instead, it triggers a "yeah, so what?" response. It's just another obligatory "continuity" appearance. Continuity != namedropping.

Yay! Hopefully this time they'll have hands that look a bit more reasonable for tool-users.

With the destruction and the replacement of the Akiraprise, of course. [Big Grin] [Big Grin] [Big Grin]

I remember that the face make-up was different, but did the Tellerite in "The Mark Of Gideon" have different hands than the one taking that kerazy journey to that kerazy planet called Kerazy Babel?

I think you mean "Whom Gods Destroy." There were no Tellarites in "The Mark of Gideon."

I don't know about the hands in WGD - but yeah his eyes weren't inset. Maybe he was half-human/half-tellarite?

Posted by Harry (Member # 265) on :

The (supposed?) Tellarite in "The Lights of Zetar" had normal hands. And so did the Voyage Home and Undiscovered Country Tellarites.

Posted by The_Tom (Member # 38) on :

Were the TVH and TUC guys ever firmly established to be Tellarites? Because I certainly don't recall anybody looking unmistakably Tellaraitish.

Posted by Harry (Member # 265) on :

No, never. But it is very likely. Especially the TUC makeup is questionable, but this cap shows two distinctly Tellarite looking aliens on the far right.

Posted by Spike (Member # 322) on :

Well, according to the Las Vegas Star Trek Experience, the "Tellarite" in TUC is the Daakin Ambassador.

The ones in TVH at least are most definitely Tellarites.

And for the record, IMHO Tellarites on ENT = cool.

Again, 5 fingers might = mixed species?

About damn time they brought the tellerites into the picture...now if they can keep at it with dem and de productive [all things considered] andorian arc we've been seeing and less klingons season 3 might be worth watching....pending of course preemptions made by UPN in favor of NBA, MLB, NFL or NHL...on Wednesday nights....

Posted by Topher (Member # 71) on :

Well, ENT always airs on Tuesday nights on A-Channel. It never gets preempted by sports.

There you have it. Deep, inset eyes for the ENT Tellarites. Niiice.

Lucky...UPN is about 1 step better than local access here, hence why it is considered a joke as a television network. I think there are only 2 UPN stations in Michigan, afaik, Detroit & Grand Rapids, otherwise back home (outside of the UPN viewing area) Enterprise is on Friday nights at 11pm on Fox. The Detroit Pistons have been preempting it alllll season (such as this week [Frown] ), pushing it to Saturday nights at some aweful hour and I think its on again Sunday nights, but yeah, I bet Enterprise probably only reaches 1/3-1/2 of the states population.

ENT reaches all of Canada! Well, all of Canadians that have A-Channel & Space, anyways. [Smile]

Yeah, that would make the show sooo much better... [Roll Eyes]

...and Citytv x2, and ASN in the Maritimes, and a scutty collection of quasi-bush-stations in Northern BC.

(The CHUM microempire has all of UPN's rights across Canada, hence the Enterprise and Buffyage spread out across Citytv, NewNet and Space. A-Channel is technically covering markets outside of Znaimer's grip with first-run syndication, as is ASN and those peculiar stations up north)
More than you ever needed to know about Canadian TV
