Far be it from me to agree with a Frenchman, but he's right. And I think 'Spawnster' is a far better name than 'spawnie!' Think about it. . . 8)

Haven't seen the latest news yet, have we??
There is a good chance we're going to see the Ent-E is one of the last 9 episodes of DS9.

I've heard the same rumours. Not bad, an Intrepid and a Sovereign in DS9. Capt. Picard would bring a degree of closure to the series.

He was there at the beginning, why not the end?

While I agree it would be cool to see a Sovereign in the show, I don't think Picard needs to put in an appearance. While he helped LAUNCH the show, Sisko has since come in to his own and does not need Picard around to legitimize his captaincy. Personally, I like Sisko as a captain much better than Picard anyway.

okay.
Picard gets killed and Siskie takes over the Enterprise E as Captain, promoted by Picard on, his dying bed.It is simple and efficient and we get to have Siskie in the next TNG movie.simple.
now, we could also have a temporal plot-sucking anomaly eating everything and everyone, then the franchise is over and things can move on.

Picard in the finale? I don't think so. They didn't need Dr. McCoy in "All Good Things..." and I really don't think I'll be too amused if Quark shows up when Voyager ends.
