Just wondering, what info does the Magazine and/or the Fact Files give on the Prometheus? So far we know it's 1360 feet long, has 16 decks - anything else?

It shows off a lot of great CGI diagrams of all the sections mostly. It gives a little bit a detailed information but not much.

U.S.S. Prometheus NX-59650
18 phaser arrays (maybe Type-X, not sure)
Max warp speed of 9.9 with 6 warp nacelles total
Regenative shielding and ablative hull armor

Like I said, there wan't much that you already didn't know in issue 2 of Star Trek: The Magazine.

With a little help from Ryan McReynolds, I've been able to locate at least a few of the torpedo launchers on the ship. I can see six facing forward. Of course, that's assuming that I'm looking at the right features.

Six torpedo tubes?! That's absurd. That's the kind of number of tubes that really bad fan designs have. . . Next someone will be saying it has phaser cannons! 8)

It does? Is that confirmed, or more leftover Utopia Planitia silliness? And where the hell are they all?

I have researched the Prometheus my self and I have come up with the following:

5x Torpedo Lauchers
18x Type 12 Phaser Arrays
Total Length: 504m

I finally picked up my ST Mag, and here is what I got. I'll explain where everything is:

18 Type IX phaser arrays (since these seem large, but not large as a Galaxy class) phaser arrays
7 torpedo launchers
6 impulse engine units
3 warp cores
4 transporters

The 6 torpedo launchers. On the front of the top section, at the front, on either side of what appears to be the deflector dish, are two little inlets, for torpedo launchers. In the middle, again at the front, there are now 3 inlets ahead of this section's deflector dish. There is also most likely another in the raised section. In the bottom, below the deflector, there is a small inlet between those 2 phaser strips, which appeas to be another launcher.

The 6 impulse engines is pretty self-explanatory. The top section gets the blue thing, the middle gets the top of the other impulse engine, and the bottom gets the bottom half of it.

3 warp cores is pretty obvious, and you can see in the middle and bottom sections a yellow/red connection point. The cores are probably on top of each other, and so if you want to dump the core in an emergency, both cores can be dumped at the same time when the ship is attached.

4 transporters, all appear to be in the bottom section. At the front of the bottom section there are 4 transoter emitters, 2 top, 2 bottom. My guess is that there are 2 transporters there. At the back, on the nacelle pylons, same story. 2 on top, 2 on bottom. Another 2 transporters here would be my guess.

My analysis is similar to those before... length of 415 meters as per Rick's blueprints, 18 phaser strips (12 when docked), but I only count 5 torpedo tubes. Two flanking the primary hull deflector (confirmed by Rick), and three on the secondary hull. I don't see any on the others, just some greeblies, which don't really resemble the two confirmed tubes at all.

Rick's Blueprints?!!
What and/or where are those. Are they scanned posted??!!!!

*Takes deep breath*

No, he just pulled them out for us and read off the length (1360') and the number of decks (16) on his forum.

Let's count'em:

Saucer top: 2 inlets with grey (Ent-E like) and blue sensor grids in between.

Top sec. hull: again 2 inlets, a grey sensor grid and something similar to the blue 'thing' on the saucer.

Bottom sec. hull: and again 2 inlets, no grey grid, and something strange just after the inlets.

That's 6 in total.

My theory on the grey 'sensor grids' is that they are the deflectors (as I said, this is also on the Ent-E suacer).
As for the other 'things', I don't know what they are, but each section has one.
