Doesn't the Sabre Class Starship look like the N64 controler.

I was looking at taped reruns of DS9 and saw the N64 commercial, the flying controler looked like the Sabre

He's right about the Nintendo commercial, though...it looks a lot like the Saber.

And in the same way...

The Defiant class, from above, looks like a flying toilet seat
The Intrepid class, in profile, looks like an upside-down dessert spoon
The Centaur class looks like the basic idea for the design was stolen from Franz Joseph
and the Galaxy Class, viewed from behind, looks like a 70s sun lounger

You know Alex Jaeger or who ever designed the Sabre - was probably looking around the room as to what he could use to base a new ship on...
