In the TNG episode "Force of Nature," Enterprise's warp coils are field-saturated so the ship could fly through a subspace instability without powered warp flight. How long did it take to field-saturate the nacelles? I believe Data said it, but I don't remember and I don't have the episode.

Thanks.

I'm not sure either. Was it 20 minutes of 2 hours? I'm pretty certain it had a 2 in it.

Can't be much of a difference!

Why is this so important?

And BTW: Did you notice how common the number 47 is in Star Trek? I keep noticeing it in almost every episode.
Like in today's voyager...The engineering command code or password or whatever was Omega 47...In the other episodes the shields keep falling to 47% mostly and there is species 8472 and numerous other examples....can anyone give me a list of their observations?

Picard once went to S:t Ives, where he met a man with 47 wives.

Marko: That's actually a rather well-known phenomenon. There was someone who worked on TNG (I don't remember who, or whether he continued onto the other series), and 47 was part of some gag or something. He started sticking it in various places whenever possible. There are sites out there that try to list every occurence, but I'm not sure where any are offhand.

Not only was 47 used often, but also 74 and 23. Also 210 in directional bearings and headings.

Thanks PopMaze, the attempt was much appreciated. I'm writing a fan club technical manual for a ship that has to travel for a time without an active warp field. Maybe I can use warp field sustainers.
