OK, hasn't there been at least two issues of that magazine since the pics of the Nova class/Equinox have been posted? Can someone scan them - for us people who don't get sucha a magazine in their country... I always look forward to what new tidbit they show us from these magazines.

Andrew

P.S. Speaking of well on a totally different point. There was an article in the Qld (Queensland) Sunday Mail yesterday about 'new inventions' i.e. the 'body computer' etc... and that this company from America had "been approached by Star Trek to design stuff for their new series which, which is like 400 years in the future" the said that they had a hard time overcoming new ideas for things that looked futuristic, and that this company did that well. So it sounds like that this might be for the new Trek... What ever that might be.

I still don't think there should be a new Star Trek for at least a few years... (This is me talking not the newspaper article) cause there is just TOO much Sci-Fi on TV now... Stargate, Farscape, Earth: Final Conflict and now "Andromeda" it'll wear thin pretty soon, if it hasn't already.

Out of them Stargate SG-1 is definately the best.

Stargate
E:FC
Farscape

in order of 'best shows'

Interesting news! It's difficult to say how to best interpret them. There's certainly a new show in the making, but will it take place 400 years from now, or 400 years from the 24th century?

I doubt Paramount would have to rely on outside consulting if it was doing stuff for another 24th century show - the "look" for that era is being nicely handled by the current art dept folks. But would this Qld paper or the company in question know that "present" is in the 24th century and "future" is 400 years from there?

I'm looking forward to hearing about the new Magazines, too. I'm not even getting the "kiddie version" Fact Files any more.

Grrr... You know, this is the 3rd time I've posted these, and people still don't seem to see them. Oh well, if you miss them, your loss, I won't be posting them again.

The Vorlon: Hey, thanks again, but I think AndrewR meant any new pics 'after' these lovely novapics. What has been seen in st:the magazine, anyway? I would also love to see scans from that magazine. I post pics from st:ff on my site, btw.

Oops, it could be read that way, too. =]

But anyways, the Equinox was only in last month's issue, and this months issue is just starting to hit stores, so there's really nothing new yet to scan.

Oh, yeah thanks V, I have seen them, and they're beautiful. Yeah, I was meaning after the Equi though.

Somebody said there was going to be some new pics of the Nebula class and some Romulan ships??

Rereading the article it was the company that said that Star Trek had approached them for their new show and that was 400 years in the future! So I guess they are feeling good about themselves huh...

Either she was going by the 24th century thing - which is only 300 years away or that they are INDEED jumping ahead to the 25th century... I just think she roughly though 400 years... 2000->2376 which is close enough to 400 years.

Well, even if it were exactly 400 years, that would only put them up to 2400, which is still the 24th century. However, since most people refer to the current Trek time as "400 years from now" in general, it needn't be assumed that they are going all the way to 2400...

Howdy folks, the new issue of Star Trek:The Magazine is indeed out(July, Issue #15).
Ship-related articles are esigning the Vor'cha, designing the interior of the Enterpise-D and, in the article on Lore's renegade Borg, the Borg ship from "Descent" is featured. Coming up in the August issue, it looks like they talk to Andy Probert about designing the exterior of the Enterprise-D, the Jem'hadar fighter("bug")is featured and also looks like they are doing a feature on the early years of the Federation, including the early ships like the Daedelus-class.
Sorry, I don't have a PC, so i can't scan anything =(

I'd like to see the magazine do a chart on all the Federation ships(like the one in the Encyclopedia, but updated to include all the new designs, and it should include the study models we have(briefly)seen on screen). I was disappointed to see that the newest revision of the Encyclopedia didn't have an updated chart, so it'd be nice to see it done in the mag(so we don't have to wait years for the next revison of the encyclopedia).

How can there be "too much" science fiction on TV? First you have to ask how much of it is watchable, which gives you a much lower figure. Then ask how many workplace comedies exist.
