Sorry, and this may have been answered, but I was looking through Bernd's web-site, and a question struck me.

WHY are there two versions of the Wolf 359 graveyard shot around the commercial break?

One where there is no Constitution secondary hull, and one where there is?

Is one the shot just before the commercial, and one the shot just after? Or are they two different versions of the same shot? And why does Bernd say that this scene was not in all versions of BOBW? What do some versions have instead? Just the shot with Connie? The shot without it? Why does it dissapear? Am I causing a question mark shortage?

Er, carry on.

It is that way in the original airing. No reason or explanation. No idea which shot was composited first.

The Connie just drifted out of the shot by the time the commercial was over. Just think, people, these ships are moving, folks!

Oh, sorry. I just came from the Enterprise forum. You understand...

Read Bernd's Wolf 359 analysis at EAS. I believe he said something to the effect that two seconds of footage were cut from the aired version for the commercials, but were restored for the VHS release. This footage included the Constitution-refit secondary hull.

I havent read Berndts analysis for awhile, but here in Sweden the scene with the hull is not in the videorelease

And it is in my recording of the initial broadcast.

Maybe it's the other way around, then...
