No, I am not back.... just popping in to let everyone know I am still alive.
See that we are still on the Defiant argument....

I was actually more surprised that my profile was still here and intact! Been years now....

Charles doesn't tend to do a whole lot of deleting around here (as can be evidenced by all of the nonsensical but locked threads here).

Anyway, what are you up to these days?

So, was this guy a starter of the "Defiant length" threads? I assume that's what "Defiant argument" means.

StationMaster is actually the or one of the founders of the Behaviour Group and Utopia Planetia. I'm not exactly sure on the founder thing since I didn't join the message board until about three days before the website was hacked.

In other words, as his status line reflects, StationMaster is a Trek God in retirement.

Okay - Still running Behaviour (Interactive Media now) and No, I did not start the Defiant Argument. And before anyone says it, I ain't getting back into it! LOL!

I remember the good ol' StationMaster...

*sniff* It's been so long, I almost didn't recognise the name for a minute. . .

I remember the name StationMaster. Didn't you once do an analysis of the Defiant length based off the MSD and bridge schematic? The final figure you came to was quite small though - around 80m I think. Anyway, I found it fascinating at the time.

Damn, Station Master. Only 75 posts? I've been here for just over a year and I have over one-thousand-two-hundred under my belt. And I've been banned from this place for 2 months too!

Either way, let me shake your hand. One of the founding members of Utopia Planitia eh? I was only 11 when I first discovered UP1. I thought it was the coolest Trek website in the world. Now, 5 years later, I'm actually writing for the third incarnation of the UP saga. It's pretty cool the way the whole thing turned out.

And yet he's the ex-god, and you're the total and complete fuckwit.

*grumbles something about going postal and leaves the thread*

Posted by Siegfried (Member # 29) on :

::sigh:: It's not the quantity of posts that count, MIB. It's the quality. And if though StationMaster only has 75 posts, he has done a lot for the world of Star Trek on the Internet. There aren't many Trek aficiandos out here who haven't seen, heard, or experienced The Behaviour Group's Star Trek Zone.

Besides, low post counts amount to nothing more than a hill of beans here.

Hey. I had a few high-quality posts in my time. Like when I tried to start a thread about the Saber's graviton beam. (A.K.A. tractor beam)

Posted by Siegfried (Member # 29) on :

But that really gets eclipsed by the whole "ruining trial threads" and "stealing other people's publicly displayed names" thing, you know?

Posted by MIB (Member # 426) on :

Well.....uhhhhhh. Don't blame me. Blame the Judge Dredds.

Posted by Malnurtured Snay (Member # 411) on :

Uh, MIB, who else would we blame? You don't have mulitple personality disorder. You're just a complete and total fuckwit. Well, no, you're not (although you do act like it sometimes!) You need to think before you act (not like I'm one to talk...)

LOL! - 75 Posts..... Sorry, that is amusing.

Before the Flare Forums, there was another forum, and before that there was the UP Forums, and before that there was the old WWW Treads UP Forums.

I think I racked up a few more posts that 75.....

Chris

"YOU have a mere piddling 75 posts whilst I have 4 million, 362 thousand, 223 posts. what do you have to say to THAT?!?"

"People like me more."

"Damn."

See, what actually happened is that, when the military raided the caves at Tora Bora, they found out it was never an al Qaeda hiding place at all. They just found Goffy sitting down there yelling "Go away! I have too much work to do!". But then they made him leave, so he decided to post here while he had the time.

Welcome back, however temporarily, Chris.

Say, weren't you going to see if you still had the old UP board messages around somewhere? :-)

Chris! An authentic legend... I remember you. Your last name used to be Gough, right? Did you change it? Are you coming back? What happened with the files from the original UP? Did you know I have several of the original pages stored as a treasure? Why am I asking so many questions to a total unknown?

Good to see you.

*Bows before the all-knowing StationMaster*

If, in the short amount of time you are here, you wish to check out what's going on with UP3, go right ahead. I just gave you permission to enter the Forum.

And if you were to want to kick young Charles' arse into some semblance of getting on and doing the interface, I just gave you permission to do that too. 8)

I remember the days when the name "Chris" was more common around here than Jeff being rude to people. Ahh.

Awww, thanks, Liam. Big hug.

TSN - LOL!....
Actually, I was just feeling a little nostalgic and decided to see what was going on around here.
As for the back up forum thread - I have about 60 odd back up CD's to look through - it is taking a while.....

Bashir - Yup, the name is still Gough.... Chris Gough. Am I coming back? Well, I think Voyager murdered my passion for ST.... in fact in the final episode, I was rooting for the Borg to win...
I still have the whole UPI and II backed up on CD somewhere - including the massive collection of images I built up, some 3D meshes (DO NOT GO THERE) and some other things.

Krenim - Cheers

Nuff Said - time to get Jolly, etc...

Chris

Ah. No problem. I was just curious. Your resurfacing just made me think of it. :-)

By the way, what is the current status of UP3? Unfortunately I'm not a part of "the making team" - I would love to contribute, unfortunately my job leaves me with such little spare time. [Frown]
(Part of the reason why my post count is so low [Wink] ) But I drop by every now and then just to see what's going on in my favorite forum.

Austin... try wearing boxers ;o)

StationMaster - err Chris Gough! HI! I was there way back when in 1997 at the UP WWWboard with the black background and purple, teal and white coloured text!

I think we had a discussion about the actual ship that Sisko arrived in in 'Emissary'.

Of course there was lots of discussion about the First Contact ships!
