-The U.S.S. Lexington is noted as being mentioned in "The Search." Not having seen this included in most other pages, but also not having seen the episode, I am curious. What was the deal here?
-I'm a bit confused now as to the whole deal with the Magellan, Sarek, and Cortez. Which episode are these from, "Favor the Bold" or "Sacrifice of Angels"? (I get conflicting sources saying both.) What specifically was mentioned of each of the three? Which ship had its nacelle damaged and was replaced? (Spike's list claims it was the Magellan, but the linked page claims it was the Cortez.)

In "The Search" the crew of the Defiant was drugged and put through a simulation. In the simulation, Dax got an email saying she was reassigned to the Lexington when everyone returned to the fake station. They didn't like that and stole a runabout and tried to blow up the wormhole. Then they woke up and said they had a wierd dream. And some other stuff happened too.

USS Cort�s was the 11th ship to have to pull out of Sisko's fleet for repairs at the end of "Favor the Bold," before they were intercepted by the Dominion fleet. Later, the ship was reported missing and presumed destroyed in "Far Beyond the Stars." Its Captain was Quinton Swafford, a friend of Sisko's.
The USS Sarek was ordered to take the Cort�s' place in the formation at the end of "Favor the Bold."
USS Magellan was briefly mentioned in the battle in "Sacrifice of Angels." There is no solid canon information on what kind of ship it is, but I'll dig through my copy of the script to see what I can find. Later.

IIRC, there was a strong indication in SoA that the Magellan was a Galaxy-class. Like, Sisko would give orders to the Magellan to do something specific, and then we'd see some VFX shots of a Galaxy-class doing that.

I'm not in total agreement. Sisko ordered the Magellan and Venture to move out or some-such, and the next moment we see a generic shot of ships darting about, with two Galaxys in the center of the action.
It could be interpreted that the Magellan is a Galaxy, then, but since there's no further evidence than that about the issue it becomes somewhat sketchy. And since all the "official" secondary literature (Encyclopedia, Fact Files, and Mag) say it was the same old Constellation, I go with that.
Of course, if some future film or reference manual shows us a Galaxy named Magellan, I'd comfortably change my opinion.

It's been a long time since I watched the episode, but I think the scenes in question were during the battle, not before. Someone should check this out.

I seem to recall that, too. They were already under heavy fire when Sisko gave that order (and IIRC Nog responded that the communications had failed, Garak said something about activating the cloak and someone responded that it was offline, too, stuff like that) while the scene of the two Galaxys attacking the Galor was right at the beginning, when the two fleets ran into each other and started firing.
You seem to confuse it with another line, Sisko giving orders to the mysterious "Galaxy-wings" and then saying something about Venture and Magellan, that they should keep a distance to the Defiant to avoid ramming the ship, something like that. Am I right here?

The Majestic and the Sitak? I only remember Dax reporting their destruction ("We lost the Sitak and the Majestic" or something like that).
It will be interesting to see new discussions form once the Dominion War comes to DVD...in a few years!

As far as I know, Sisko only mentioned the Magellan once. It was indeed during the battle. I never said it wasn't. He said something like the following: "The Magellan and Venture should be protecting our starboard flank! They're in too close!" I'm not sure of that exact wording, but it was similar to that. I think we then cut to a shot of two Galaxys and several other SF and Cardassian/enemy vessels. I don't think the "Venture and Magellan" line came in the same sequence that the "Galaxy wings" line.
