What do you think?

The K’Kon

The K’Kon is a short, humanoid race that comes from the 2nd moon of a gas giant in the
K’Kon solar system. The K’Kon looks almost exactly like gnomes from Earth mythology, only a bit larger. In fact, they look so much like gnomes that many Humans have speculated that the K’Kon made contact with Humans hundreds of years ago and that is where the myths of gnomes started.

As stated above, the K’Kon comes from the 2nd moon of a gas giant the K’Kon know as “Lastia.” Lastia looks very similar to Jupiter in the Terran solar system. Gravity on the K’Kon homeworld is a bit weaker than gravity on Earth. The atmosphere is a bit thinner as well, but it isn’t totally uninhabitable for Humans. Even though the weaker gravity is an invitation for Humans to hop and run around they are strongly advised not to do anything that would force them to breath harder than they normally would. If Humans just have to go out an run around in the weaker gravity though, they would have to ware a backpack that will supply them with extra oxygen. The K’Kon homeworld is rather flat. The fact that it is, for the most part, geologically inactive resulted in very little mountainous terrain. Much of the homeworlds land is either heavily wooded, or is vast grassland. The view of Lastia and it’s other moons from the homeworld is rather incredible to many races, however the K’Kon take the view for granted.

The K’Kon do have the technology to travel interstellar distances, but very few K’Kon have the interest to do so. That is why they are such a rare sight on foreign planets and space stations. With the exception of the K’Kon capital city and 5 other major cities, the homeworld is mostly a rural place. The K’Kon who don’t live in the capital city or one of the other 5 major cities live in very small villages with populations of a couple hundred at most. While buildings in the major cities are built with modern materials, buildings in the small villages are mostly made from a blue, wood-like material. They are also usually dome shaped and have 2 to 4 floors to them. A very popular export on the homeworld is that of a rare fruit that is indigenous there and only there. In many ways, it resembles an apple. The size is about the same and the thickness of the skin is on par as well. The K’Kon fruit, however is dark blue and Humans described it a tasting much like a blueberry only the taste was more intense and it was sweeter than any blueberry they’ve tried in the past. A Human side effect to eating the fruit is the felling of increased energy. Large vineyards for cultivating the fruit are not uncommon on the homeworld.

The K’Kon, while friendly towards each other, become quite sarcastic and a bit snappy when confronted with members of an alien species. However, they are not considered down right nasty and mean. They also take a isolationist attitude toward wars and conflicts that don’t involve them. Even if they were to get involved in something, it is unlikely that they could do anything about it sense their disinterest in exploring space has also resulted in a borderline-nonexistent military that is extremely weak. Many people consider them very fortunate that they haven’t been attacked and taken over by a hostile force years ago.

Sense.

Two different words. Two different meanings.

I've noticed that you're not the only one - in this forum and elsewhere. And not wanting to appear racist or anti-nationalist (is there such a word?) but I've noticed it from a lot of Americans. I suppose that it could just be related to the fact that you stole the english language from us when you went and formed your own country and lost or never picked up the page with the proper spelling.

To my American friends - the word "JOKING" springs very much to mind.
