The aft torpedo launcher, can you back it up? I never saw it on the model, but I hope I'm wrong.

Why would it not have one? The Excelsior Class had two facing aft, and then the Galaxy Class which came after the Ambassador Class had an aft launcher. Is it such a leap of faith to think it has an aft launcher?

As I recall, we never saw a "canon" picture of the Ambassador (Ent-C) with even a forward launcher...

Later!

Actually, if you look in the episode "Yesterday's Enterprise" and look at when we see the E-C forward 3/4 view, the forward launcher is visible. It's the white light at the very bottom of the neck. It looks like it might be a window instead, but it's a launcher.

Dat,

I agree that it is probably a launcher...but we never see torps fly out of it...

Just using it to prove my point earlier. 8^)

The only nit I have is the deflector dish. You have the internal mechanism stoping short of the exterior dish. I think it should probably be all one unit. The interior portion should connect flush with what we see on the outside.

Just a thought. Nice work!

Looks cool, but the forward torp. launcher looks about three decks too far up. The defelector dish (as already pointed out should connect with the exterior).
I do really, really like it though! Will you add more interior details?

Yes I will add alot more details [Big Grin] Now as for the dish. You may be right to a point. It should be flush with the dome not with the outline of the ship. The dish of the Enterprise-C is not like the other dish seen on the show.If you look at the ones like the Enterpise E, B, or Voyager then you will know what I mean. The dish of the C is more like the one one of the Enterprise-A.

We know this dish is like the Refit Connie's dish - that it is blue, round, has white-ish streaks coming from the center and the surface is curved inward. I think people here are saying that your diagram of the dish should actually be touch the schematics outline. That's because the dish surface is not only curved inward, but also angled down to match the hull's downward angle in that area. That's the unique feature of the E-C's dish unlike all the other ship's dishes where even if the hull is angled down in that area, the dish remains in a vertical alignment.

Something like this (it was done quickly and crudely):

That's what I mean. Aban, thanks for putting my words into a drawing that can be understood easier. Anyway, i was also gonna say that I think Voyager's main dish may also be angled downward, but I'll need to double-check.

I just looked at Voyager's MSD. It shows that the interior portion of the deflector dish itself is vertical and that the hollow in the front of the engineering section is longer on top. However, looking at the model, it's clear that the exterior dish angles forward slightly at the top.

But, keep in mind. Voyager's dish is different than the Ent. C's. Voyager as well as the Enterprise D have an exterior dish that is connected at it's center to the rest of the deflector assembly. The Ent C's deflector has no exterior dish. It's all a semi-spheroid scoop in the engineering hull. That angled, visible portion has to be connected to something.
