all photoshop, from a sketch done in mspaint.. i was originally going to vector dra somewhere but theoriginal bmp captured the look i anted perfect
the medic insignia is done, just needs to be uploaded.. i wonder if there were any other insignia that were ever sewn on a patch on TOS (possibly to denote noncoms... hmm)

Very nice! That pattern is interesting, but it sort of looks like burlap rather than a metallic fiber. Does any one have a scan of an authentic shirt insignia?
P.S.: A bit of the black is cut off at the top.

But won't it look a little too big on crew shirts?
You see, in order to see division insignia, the gold part would have to be rather big... singinicantly bigger than Enterprise insignia.
I'm just trying to visualize how big it is compared to Enterprise insignia.

The original rectangular (I believe USS Exeter?) insigina were on ebay some time ago. It looked more braided and had more texture. They actually looked considerably different from the shiny Encyclopedia drawings. I didn't save the pictures though.. is there any way to search old auctions?

If that auction was more that 6 months ago, ebay would have removed it from there servers, so even if you did have the auction number, the listing would no longer be there.
