Here's pics of my "Valiant" class starship, the USS Hornet.

I added a few Defiant decals to her and gave her the style of registry shown on the concept art this design is from.

I've got three more in the works- the Trojan, Hoplite and Seattle.
Those should be completed by tomorrow! [Cool]

Ravenstar Studios makes/sells these lil' bueaties in a two-pack:
the model is a one-piece, so it's just a matter of some minor clean up and then on to (the fun part) painting...
I think the sketch design is faithfully reproduced.

Frankly, I think I like this better than the Defiant itself!

I like the contrast between the panelling. Gives what is a flat design (for the Trek universe) more depth.

I'd ;ike to see a model of this chunky version as well, but this is my favorite unrealized Trek design.

The scale figure next to the concept art of the one you did makes the ship look really tiny. It wouldn't be a whole lot bigger than a runabout at that scale. I'm glad they bumped up the scale a tad.

Yeah- the size of the model is about 2/3 that of a Defiant (probably has a crew of 30 or so, I'd guess).

I've always like this version of the defiant better that the one on DS9 . The wing like structure seems to fit , but now it can be cousin of the defiant.

I'll post new pics of the model tomorrow: I added a couple of decals to make the model match the sketch it's based on perfectly.

Mainly just the circular docking thingie on the "nose" and some vents(?) on the raised part of the outer wings/nacelles.

I still have three more to paint up though!
