Hello, Im Shakaar, Im new here.
I pondered Id show off some of my ships here- Id like for the idea of this ship to catch on, and hopefully one day find its way into Trek, if only in one episode as a sub-plot.

The Prophets Will is a test ship built by the Bajorans, a species who were space faring centuries before the Humans, but in recent times suffered setbacks. Their hope is with the Swordfish Class they will be able to get back to peaceful exploration.

The Bajorans not only intend to explore the great unknown, they plan on going further and faster than their Federation counterparts with the new Soliton Wave Drive. Research of the soliton wave was originally carried out by the Federation, but was fraught with disaster. In a manner defying physics, the soliton waves generated grew in velocity, and in size many fold without reason.

To Bajoran scientists who learned of the experiments the answer was not that difficult to find as it was the basis of their first interstellar craft; Tachyons. A soliton wave that travels in and with a tachyon eddy will gain strength from that eddy, this was the case between the two planets that tested the Federation wave. Once the soliton wave is isolated from the tachyons, it becomes a stable, safe and efficient means of faster than light propulsion.

Neat ship! Are you going to make front/top/side views?

Intresting that you've got horizontal windows there- nice unique look.

I'm not real keen on the nacelles though- a bit too pointy and lacking bussard collectors- mabye you can add them to the saucer like the Steamrunner?

There is a top view on the page for it in the first post. I fear I lost this mesh in a drive crash some time ago, so if I remake it Id probably change a number of things- Im more keen on the principals behind it than the first design.. Meshes were thankfully the only thing I lost. Because of the soliton drive, the design didn't require bussard collectors, its efficient nature allows it to carry all the fuel it requires.

Is there ANY reason that Bussard collectors have to be at the front of Nacelles????

They're there to collect interstellar hydrogen - sucked in using powerful magnetic coils located just behind said collectors. Surely you can mount these at a different point on the ship? Maybe closer to the Deuterium tanks?

Was the ship built with the help of the Federation? Because it looks very Federation. If it's a solely Bajoran ship, it should probably have a very different color scheme. I guess I'm also a little confused as to why a Bajoran ship would have the class name of an Earth fish.

Edit: OK, after looking at the write-up, it seems that everything about this ship is Federation. And state-of-the-art Federation as well.

Well, the navigational deflector tends to push everything out of the way from the ship, so the bussard collectors tend to be towards the very sides of the ship where they can still pull in the elemental hydrogen- so they certainly don't have to be on the front of the nacelles.
