-In short, Mitchell pulls a "Last Samurai" while the Orii continue to make inroads.

-We introduce the Sodan, a legendary group of Jaffa that were in essence the origin of the Jaffa Rebellion. After breaking from the Goa'uld System Lord Ishkur 5000 years ago, they have lived in isolation, covertly raiding Goa'uld supply planets for symbiotes to stay alive. But instead of worshipping the Goa'uld, they instead beleive the ascendent Ancients to be the true gods... And the Orii are convincing them to convert.

-The Sodan use a truncated version of the classic staff weapon, which is more portable and less cumbersome. Call it a sawed-off shotgun - and expect these props to start working their way into the show's regular inventory.

-For a handfull of warriors living in faux-Japanese huts, these guys have the ability to construct Ancient tech from plans left by them. Don't quite get that.

-CSM is here! He's got a speechless role as the Orii Prior - he'll be back.

When did they say they built their Ancient devices, as opposed to just finding them?

The Michael Jai White lookalike guy says that the Ancients' writings left behind taught them how to manufacture many of their devices. It's about 20 mintues in, as Mitchell was finishing the "obstacle" course.

Huh. Maybe there's an Ancient automated factory on that planet as well.
