I love Transformers, but really only the G1 era. I never liked the animal-based transformers, and I prefer my vehicles to be based on real ones. That said, I happened to come across this:

It's a short comic line that's coming out next month, and I have to say it looks really cool! I've only bought one Transformers comic in my entire life (a mid-80s badly colored one), and I think I may finally break that streak.

I remember seeing a similar comic taking place in WWII - with GI Joe, of course. Never read it, but the artwork was fantastic.

I'd buy Cyclonus as a Messerschmidt! He can have the spiky propeller blades fold up on his crown to make a Sauron-crown.
