Kit Fisto.

The green guy with the squid hair and the jet black eyes. He was freakin' amazing! Had to go out and buy the action figure [Smile]

Kit Fisto sounds like a porn star.

Why is that!?! [Smile] Because I keep thinking the same thing whenever I hear that name!

My favorites are Luminara Unduli and her padawan, Barriss Offee. You could see them both in Palpatine's office. Then in the battle, they both lit up their sabers and got jiggy.

I loved the scene in the Chancellor's office. Luminara was standing with the group while her Padawan was stanging back several feet. Those kind of little details really do something for me.

Aayla Secura (the blue Twi'lick Jedi) was also really cool. She wore this brown leather bikini thing... mmmm....Jedi cleavage...

My biggest gripe with all the background Jedi was that they didn't even go to the trouble of making new saber hilts for them. They were all reuses of the background Episode 1 hilts.

You're thinking of Ken Fister, a porn star of little repute from the eighties. [Smile]

Which is funny.

Every time my father used to talk about his old Erector set I would get the man-boy giggles.

The funny thing is that now they have those for men, it's a series of pumps and valve. Very romantic.

Han Solo sounds like a porn-star ... not one who gets much action, but still ...

I hate it when he fires his blaster.

I'm trying to work out how many of the Jedi Council are the same as TPM...

Ki-Adi-Mudi is there!! And so is Adi Galla and Sersee Teein

I don't think I saw Yareel Poof or Yaddle!! NOT YADDLE! I hope she's not dead.

I belive I caught a few shots of those freak'n backstreet boys here and there...

In the visual encyc from TPM, some of them like Yareel Poof (who looks rather like a Kaminoin) used the force as a master illusionist (rather than fighting) preferring to turn an enemie's fears against them!!

The Twi'lek Jedi was cool... and it sucked how that 'long headed' jedi got killed so easily (the Vis Encyc said) he had 360` sight!!

Was there a Rodian Jedi there?

Supposedly according again to the Vis Encyc - I think it is - Luminara and her Padawan are psychically linked allowing both to synchronise their fighting to act as one unit... when I read this I was SOOOO waiting for them to be doing exact same moves in tandem - that would have looked REALLY cool.

I would have liked to have seen more "fighting" instead of silly laser deflecting.

I agree, I was hoping to see a lot more of each individual Jedi's fighting style... We don't get to see much of that... I guess that would veer off from the story too much, but I would really like to see more of those other Jedi, you know, before they get killed off by Vader...

Oh, btw, Kit Fisto owns! [Big Grin]

Aayla Secura. [Big Grin]

Some spelling mistakes on my behalf...

Seasee Tiin... and Adi Gallia - I hope that's correct.

The Jedi I noticed from TPM was not Seasee Tiin but Pol Koon (he has a breathing apparatus)

I'll have to go see it again to see who was on the council this time around... but I definately saw:

Yoda, Mace Windu, Adi Gallia, Ki-Adi-Mundi and Pol Koon... plus the 'bearded green guy' (can't remember his name off the top of my head).

Some Jedi must have stayed back on Coruscant to look after those little Jedi

And a question - what if you go through Jedi training... but don't want to end up being a Jedi - surely you're not FORCED into service... I did recall that some Qui-Gon?? Had Padawaans that didn't go onto to be Jedi Knights.

So you can go back to normal society, with a greater understanding of the Force and have a light sabre etc? Maybe it's like the Psi Corp and the Psi Cops - you can still be a registered Telepath, it's just some of the more powerful ones end up as Psi Cops... (talking B5 here).

Also had a thought reguards colours of sabres... I too wish there were more colours shown... I'm thinking now of a way to explain the different colours... maybe the 'cool/cold' colours like Blue, Purple and Green are Jedi sabre colours and 'hot' colours like Red, Orange and Yellow might end up being Sith sabre colours.

Oh and I'd like to see more 'force powers' other than physical ones - i.e. as mentioned reguards Yareel Poof etc. Not just the mind trick and the telekinesis etc.

A list of the Jedi that appear in Ep 2 can be found at the The Force.net.

I guess service in the Jedi Order isnt forced, in the expanded universe alot of bounty hunters were former Jedi students who for some reason or another failed to become Padawans or Knights like Aurra Sing.

And of course there are those who turn to the dark side like Anakin.

Wedge Antilles.

I know that Yareel Poof was killed in one of the Jango Fett comics. So he's not on the council anymore. Yaddle is dead. I caught a glimpse of Oppo Ransicis (the white hairy guy) in the council chambers the second time I saw it.

I'm going to check out the Force.net link that was just posted...

Yaddle is DEAD??? [Eek!] [Frown]

Posted by Aban Rune (Member # 226) on :

Yes, I'm fairly certain she is. I asked a friend of mine about the council members. This guy knows everything about all the EU stuff. He said she was dead but didn't give me the background. He sis tell me about the death of Yareel Poof in the Fett comic, though.

All the council members who were in Ep 1 but not in Ep 2 aren't in Ep 2 because they're dead.

I was hoping Yaddle would be back too...

Aayla Secura has to be my favorite, a very cute Twi'lek

hehe...she was at Celebration 2 in Indy. I didn't have anything for her to sign, so i didn't get to meet her...but she is quite the cutie!

Oppo Ransicis

That's him! The bearded guy!!

I too, remember seeing him there - I saw he had a slithery-looking tail... I didn't see that in Ep 1.

I saw an action figure for Seaseen Tiin - so I guess he's still there!

How did Yaddle DIE!?!

I also realised that Yarael Poof was the same race as one of the pod-race competitors.

Posted by Aban Rune (Member # 226) on :

I don't know how Yaddle died...but I'm going to try and find out, 'cause now I'm all curious.

Yes, Saesee Tiin was in Ep 2. You can see him pretty clearly in a few scenes.

I noticed Oppo's tail too...and I don't remember seeing it in Ep 1 either.

In the arena battle, you can see a bunch of Jedi fighting, mostly human, but some pretty cool alien guys. One of the human Jedi in the far background of several scenes is wielding two lightsabers as he skillfully dispatches several droids. I thought that was kind of cool.

There's also an oriental looking human female Jedi that's seen quite clearly in some of the group scenes. I know she has a name and is listed at that Force.net site. She's pretty cool looking too.

Probably not the right thread for it, but someone mentioned blasters, and I immediately remembered that Padme's new Guard Captain - Thybo, something like that - had the same blaster as Han Solo. That was just so cool. 8)

"Typho". He's supposed to be the nephew of Panaka, the guy who had that job in epsiode I.

Posted by AndrewR (Member # 44) on :

Presumably Captain Panaka is still the security officer to the new Queen.

Poor ole Yaddle [Wink]

I think in some of the split second shots I saw some of those fekking back-street boys... or was it N-Sync - bah - anyway... doing a few swooping maneuvres... not that I know what they look like - but they looked very 'pretty boyish'.

Question - I wonder what happens to Naboo, that it doesn't feature in Ep IV V and VI.

I've also seen info that there was supposed to be a scene on Naboo where Padme and Annakin go and visit Padme's family on Naboo - it's a pity that was cut.

I wish they had also left in a scene that gave a bit more air time to Ki-Adi-Mundi and Pol Koon... they were - during the battle sequence off on their own separate task to destroy the power generators or at least turn them off - that powered the battle droids. Then all the Jedi cheer, but then the power is turned back on again.

Jedi v Robots suck - Jedi v something they could use more 'Force powers' would have been WAY cool.

And I might (just to answer other threads in the one post) have an explanation for the different light-sabre colours. If they indeed use crystals (it says in the vis encyc that Dookoo uses a sith artifical crystal that gives his sabre a little more power) then maybe the crystals that create the blue and green sabres are the easiest to find. Maybe Windu, with the purple sabre (and in the vis encyc it says he purpose-built his own) maybe on a mission or something found a very rare crystal (maybe it works better than the blue and green versions) and used that in his new Light Sabre.

I didn't understand why a few of the more powerful Jedi didn't call up a wind storm and tear a lot of droids apart. Or a lightning storm. Or some sort of storm.

Thanks for the bump.

I don't really mean that. HAH!

Jedi have power over the weather? I didn't see Ororo Munro there! [Wink]

Posted by Snay (Member # 411) on :

Well, if they can utilize the Force (an all encompassing "energy field"), why COULDN'T they tell the wind "blow really hard in that direction"?

Posted by AndrewR (Member # 44) on :

I do agree with you though. It would have been great to see more Jedi 'powers'. Instead of just light-sabres and moving stuff.

I think it sucks how they had Yoda in a "Rygel Chair" - I reckon he should have been levitating using the force.

Posted by TSN (Member # 31) on :

If he could do that, why would he need a cane to walk? Obviously, he only uses the Force on special occasions. He doesn't use it for everyday moving-around.

Posted by Nim Pim (Member # 205) on :

He moved extra slow and withered after battling Dooku, so it must've strained his powers a bit, especially the bigass pillar lift. Needless to say, the guy has my respect even more, now.

Posted by First of Two (Member # 16) on :

I wondered, after seeing Yoda open up his particular can of whoop-ass, whether the whole "cane" thing isn't an act. Misdirection, as it were.

Then again, he is almost 900 years old. Maybe those quick bursts of activity are all he can manage.

Yes and no, Fo2, Emperor Palpatine also used a cane to give off an impression of weakness.
A lie he only revelealed when "doing business", like with Luke. [Smile]
