I was wondering if anybody out there has any sort of blueprints or any sort of speculation out there as to what the interior of the transport seen fleeing Hoth in ESB looks like. I know those boxy protusions in the front are cargo modules but do they hold troops as well or do the troops ride the rear near the engines? So if anyone has any ideas it would be really cool.

The official site has some info on what goes where, but I'm guessing you've already seen that.

I assume that some of the cargo containers were modified to accomodate personnel. It probably wasn't a very comfortable ride. The containers probably had some sort of life-support systems as it would be a possibility that they would have to transport organic material (alive or otherwise) at some point, or to accomodate workers loading or unloading cargo while in space.

Are these cargo vessels scene on couruscant in eps I and II?

No, they are seen first in ESB and ROTJ, and then added into A New Hope during the special addition.

Would have been a nice continuity link.

As far as I know, those ships are nothing more than frieght carriers and only house the people needed to fly them.

Well considering that they are the transports seen escaping Hoth in ESB and they are the only ones seen we have to believe that they are carrying personel.

Well, they are not real big (miniscule by SW standards!) so I'd think they carried mainly personell and only vital equipment.
