After recently watching a repeat of "Band of Brothers" I'd like to know if there is a decent web site out there about the hand signals that the soldiers used to issue commands in the field. I've looked myself, but can't find anything useful. Can anyone help please?

After watching Stargate for the last couple months, I've been wondering the same thing.

Is there a signal for "Don't shoot we are Canadians", but I guess the airforce wouldn't know that one anyway.

Giving someone the fingure while holding your other hand over it means, Fusk you, I am covered, you step out in the open and get shot at dumb-ass...
Go ask a recuiter to give you a Soldiers Training Manuel......

Yes.
Assume an upright position and fire tracer rounds into the air in the general direction of aircraft with stars painted on the wings.
Then smack your forehead with the palm of your right hand, bend over, and present your buttocks to the incoming missile in a friendly, nonthreatening fashion.
