Before everyone else comments I'd like to add that the Alliance is Canada's version of the republicans. Makes it easier to understand the views of one of it's members, infact this reminds me of that Florida guy's homophobia, leave it to the right wingers to say and do stupid things. Of the 4 major parties in Canada, the Alliance is the only one I would openly call idiots, because the Liberals, Conservatives and the NDP have worthwhile policies of non-idiotism. Chretien was right in calling this guy a numbnut, cuz he is one.

Nut Hyphen Job.Seriously, Mandela is as human as the next person and subject to all the flaws and foibles thereof...but that in no way should deminish the accomplishments of someone who helped overturn a rather evil system. [ June 08, 2001: Message edited by: Jay the Obscure ]

Man, I wish _I_ could vote myself a 20% pay raise. I mean, some of those folks are already making over 100,000 a year.I thought Canada was supposed to be this advanced, socialist, non-greedy, share-the-wealth country. You know where those pay raises will come out of, of course. More taxes. Yippee!

Er. Isn't Nelson Mandella that Central American or South American drug lord the US funded and then took into custody about 10 or 15 years ago?

Please tell me you're not REALLY daft enough to confuse Nelson Mandela with Manuel Noriega. It'll throw all your other opinions into question.

No, he misunderestimates the importance of what he's been told to talk or underintentionally placed his cue cards where he couldn't read them.Or he just stops having press conferences so he doesn't have to answer all those tough questions people keep having.

Actually, Omega, George W. Bush is the guy who thought a plate of cheese fries was the Prime Minister of Canada. Any of our Canadian friends here know of a "Prime Minister Poutin"? Which is why truth is truly funnier than fiction.

I have a headache.Laughing makes my head hurt. And I cannot resist laughing. How can he get the names of Russia's and Canada's leaders mixed up. And how come he thought that US's main trading partner was Mexico rather than looking at that large swath of ice above him?

If I'm still drunk, what the fuck was I drinking?! Poutine (with or without an "e") is not now, nor has it ever been Prime Minister of Canada.

This has something to do with the Canadian parody-news show which posed the question to GW, n'est pas? I cannot remember the name of the show now. Does anyone have a transcript or better yet a video link for this. I've only ever heard of it third hand, I would love to see the original...

Not like there'd be any noticeable difference if it WAS the PM.

Which sums up George W. Bush well. "If ignorance is bliss, Dubya's the happiest man on the planet."
