I really liked that. I didn't realize until I read the FAQ after watching the movie that the bridge sets were computer generated.

Yeah. Filmed against a bluescreen in the living room. Rendering farm in the kitchen. Dubbed in a bedroom closet. Talk about dedication.

Over the course of seven years, no less. Bluescreen work, CG effects, and set stuff easily exceeds any Trek gaming equivalent (thinking Kingon Academy et. al.) and any fan stuff ever. While a lot of it is made up with the language barrier, some of the acting is bang on as well. Makes me wonder what would happen if the talents had been applied to a "in-universe" show like HF or that TOS thing. Wow.

It really makes you wonder, Mark.
These Finns have achieved what it was thought impossible: quality on a shoestring budget! And, to tell you the truth, I'm happy it was a parody, though. Sometimes, doing stuff that achieves the official Trek level is too pretentious.
But these guys have raised the bar. Everything compares to them now.
