Really, it's a pretty classy way for him to leave- no bitterness.

I can't understand why this is news, though. Nobody caught the hints when he, you know, signed on to produce a different show?
(Not to mention that, you know, everyone has left Star Trek, on account of there not being any.)

Well, it officially splits the B&B team that everyone seems to hate so much- and he says he's not doing anything upcoming either- that he wants to do new stuff only, not Trek.
