It's not like he was totally unknown for anything else apart from the score for X-Men. I suspect that if you could do searches of old DARPANet posts, then one on 11th July 1989 would bemoan the passing of "that guy who played Zeus in Clash of the Titans!" 8) [/qb]
Zues is dead!?! HOLY FUCK! NOW we're really losing talent. That part where he transported Perseus off the island was Oscar material! Really, stop bitchin': at least I brought Kamen's death to your attention, otherwise you'd be waiting for him to score some new movie. When X-Men three hits theatres, you'd have been saying "Man, they really should have got Kamen to score that one" and of course, we'd have called you a dumbass for not knowing he was dead. See the embarassment I've spared you? You owe me. Big. Hope you didint need that firstborn son: I've got a little stem -cell business on the side you know... Of the two, it is sad that Brandis' death is given far more attention than Kamen's: Kamen had a far greater body of work and never partnered up with a annoying CGI dolphin or Chuck Norris. Except for scoring Die-Hard. Kamen said he could've done it without the dolphin, but I think the clicks and whistles really add to the soundtrack and Chuck's martial arts prowess and moe haircut kept the orchestra in line nicely.
