So my favorite cartoon as a kid was Spartakus and the Sun Beneath the Sea, a French cartoon that was dubbed into English and shown on Nickelodeon in the 80's.
This thread is not about that cartoon.
Rather, this thread is about the cartoon that always aired alongside Spartakus on Nickelodeon. The Mysterious Cities of Gold was another French cartoon dubbed into English. It had one season.
Until now.
Mysterious Cities of Gold SEASON 2!
Dub this into English, now! *Cracks whip in France's general direction*
And as long as we're resurrecting 80's French cartoons, gimme Spartakus Season 3! *Cracks whip again*

Weird. I remember watching The Mysterious Cities of Gold, but I don't think I've ever seen Spartakus. And that was back when I would watch pretty much anything that was on.

I definitely remember MCoG, though it wasn't until a few years ago that a tracked down the name of the thing. Up until than it was just a vague memory of the title song, a dark skinned kid an a poncho and something about a condor shaped Aztec jet...
You know how hard it is to find something when you don't know it's name? Took me months on searching on and off before I stumbled across the title sequence on youtube!

Huh!?! WHA!?! Holy CRAP you remember Spartakus and the Sun Beneath the Sea! YESSSSSSSSSS! That show was BRILLIANT! If you ever go to the youtube videos there are SO many people who have shared in the experience of feeling like they had MADE UP or DREAMT that they saw that show as a child, because NO ONE remembered it. Then when everyone 'found' each other at youtube there was a lot of (digital) emotion! I must say I did feel relief to finally 'meet' people who had remembered seeing that show.
