More than likely whoever it was changed his name, so all of a sudden one day sopmeone who'd sat in the middle of Jeff's Contact List suddenly changed into Boyd Stuart.
Personally I think it's UM. I'm sure I added him then never spoke to him again.

Oh, I don't know about that. If his name suddenly changed to "Patrick Dalton", I might believe it, but not "Boyd Stuart". That just doesn't work.
