Ironically, for complicated reasons I didn’t get to watch much of TAS when it was presumably first shown in the U.K., even though it was the first Trek actually released in my lifetime. Spies are cool. Member # 393 posted                       “Just a bit of fun” is doing a LOT of heavy lifting on this one! Basically a Family Guy cutaway done in the TAS animation style. Though why they had Kirk looking and sounding so different, I don’t know. Rights issue? The exchange with screw guy was funny though. Basically it was Holmes’s stand-up routine in the form of a TAS skit. Except, unlike lots of stand-up I’ve seen, I didn’t actually laugh. -------------------- "A film made in 2008 isn't going to look like a TV series from 1966 if it wants to make any money. As long as the characters act the same way, and the spirit of the story remains the same then it's "real" Star Trek.
