Whoa! Even if it is a fake, I still like it a lot more than the Insurrection posters. I'd like this as the Nemesis poster!

:'o) thank you. i should send this in to the bastard that made the INS poser. Even though I do have the INS poster on my wall, i like my FC and Gen ones better. (i made it a point to collect all the TNG movie posters).

err um i mean... i dont know what your talking about.. this is a REAL poster... i got it from my Paramount source....

Picard looks like a very fey theater owner who collects 19th century lithographs of ponies.

The slogan is made to fill seats at the theater. If I saw a poster that said the last battle has begun i would go see it.

President Josiah Bartlet: Congratulations. So, who is da man on this one?

Communications Director Toby Ziegler: I think this time we're all collectively da man, sir.

Deputy Communications Director Sam Seaborn: I accidentally slept with a call girl.

Communications Director Toby Ziegler: Accidentally? Did you trip over something?

Phlox: Erm... You do realize you're admitting a complete lack of independent thought, yes?

Y'know, those curved lines to the left of the poster make it look like Picard is wearing a sombrero, or something... *L*

Well, I really like it. The similarities to the Insurrection Poster actually make it believable as something Paramount would do. The one thing that gives it away, IMNSHO...the shot of the Ent E is the standard over-used publicity shot that is on every other piece of printed material involving the current Enterprise. Find a more original angle and I think it'll work better.

That and Frakes spells his first name, "Jonathan"

As far as the design nitpicking goes (keep in mind I only take the time to nitpick what I like), in the text at the bottom, I wouldn't separate the words "Star Trek". In fact, I wouldn't break up "based upon Star Trek created by Gene Roddenbury"...but definitely not Star and Trek.

You may also want to sharpen Picard's eyes a little. His eyes should be a focal point.

That's all. Nice work.

Ha! ;-)

As for focal points, what's wrong with how it is now? His nose IS a Picardian trait, he should be proud of it.

Actually I enjoy Star Trek so much I'll watch anything trek. No matter how bad(Final Frontier) or good (First contact)it gets I will watch it for the love of Trek. And if i saw a poster that said the last battle has begun, i wonder what's the last battle. It's just a marketing ploy by by Paramount fill seats and for the poster why is Picard all blurred up.

So we have a (supposed) release date, now?
And Dr. Phlox, your grammar is improving, somewhat.

ok.. Things to do when I get home from work:

∙ Remove 'H' in Jonathan.
∙ About the E - i think paramount would actually use the overused angle, but I will render up a new angle just for the hell of it.
∙ Picards eyes and stuff are slightly undeveloped for a reason (i dont want to give plot info away). I'm gonna kep them the way they are. I'll do something about lighting tho...

Thanks AR.

Phlox: Last battle means the last movie in the TNG era... although that slogan is a working slogan and will probably change before any marketing actually starts. Also, Picard is blurry for styling reasons, in the FC poster we get a clear view of the faces on it... in insurrection, we get a dimly bottom-lit transparent view of Rulafo's face. one thing is common in Trek posters: character faces.

I really like it Wes. And I love the blurry image of Picard. I think I know why you're doing it that way (and i also will not give away plot details ).
