I just saw the Voyager episode "Elogium" again. At the end, Samantha Wildman comes to the captain's ready room to tell her that she's just found out she's pregnant. Now, far be it from me to start any rumors, but... She had just spent over seven months thousands of light-years from her husband. How could she get pregnant in April (when Voyager was lost) and not realize it until December (when "Elogium" took place)?
There's also the fact that Wildman's husband was Ktarian, and Naomi has horns on her forehead. Ktarians have an enlarged forehead w/ a ridge down the middle (ref. TNG's "The Game"), not horns.
I'm thinking somebody on Voyager needs to run a paternity test on that girl... :-)

Hmm, if Voyager comes back near DS9, maybe there's a chance that Sam's husband is still alive there. His last post was the station before Voyager took an unexpected detour to the Delta Quad.

They did say it was a Katarian. I think his name is Griskendrek (I'm not sure about the spelling), and he was stationed on DS9. As for the continuity, it's either a result of Human-Katarian breeding or the writers not knowing what the hell they're writing about and making a big mess of it.

Considering Braga wrote "The Game" and "Deadlock", along with being the executive producer in every recurrence of Naomi since "Basics, Part II", I think he'd know what he meant.

The Katarians have, as of late, completely changed their look. We've got spikey head ones and the other type. I'm not even sure if they're supposed to be the same species...

Okay, we know so far that Sam's husband and Naomi's father is/was stationed at Deep Space Nine in the enginnering department and is that species who I can't spell the name of.
But here is another question: is he still alive?

Actually, the thing I was trying to point out here was the fact that Wildman was supposedly seven months pregnant by the time she even noticed it.

Well, Voyager's episodes never really did say why or how. It must be because of the father being another species.

Elim: We have seen skin-colour-variations in all the major alpa-quad races. And, if it matters, vulcans and romulans are descendants of the same race, but with romulans now having ridges in their foreheads. Evolution? Maybe they altered their genes to become different from their siblings. Like the klingon forehead-incident, only deliberate.

Have we seen adult Ktarians lately? Or ever, save for Etana in "The Game"?
Perhaps the horns are just a mark of youth, and fall off when the forehead lobes begin to expand. Or then the lobes are a female trait, and Naomi lacks all female Ktarian genes because of her human mother so she looks like a Ktarian male instead.

I don't think it's supposed to be the same species. I reference the Tyrellian Syndrome. There have been about 6 species with a name pronounced ter-el-e-un but with slightly different spellings. All were different species.
My guess is something similar is the case with Katarians.
All I remember about Naomi's father's being on DS9 is that he was there. I don't think it ever said whether or not he was an SF officer.
