It’s Hollywood contract negotiations, I’m sure there’s some hardball being played on both sides. But Futurama without Bender would be pointless.
My favorite quote about the renewal came from Matt Groening: “It’s a true honor to announce the triumphant return of Futurama one more time before we get canceled abruptly again.”
I just hope they can improve the overall quality compared to the last revival. The last couple seasons had a few great episodes, but the rest were generally mediocre.
Still, I can hope, and I’ll definitely check it out!

It’s official (for now) that John DiMaggio won’t be back. Which means that if Hulu decides to make it anyway, they either have to cut Bender out or recast. Neither is acceptable in my opinion.
I would’ve loved to see more Futurama. But if Hulu makes it anyway, it’s not really Futurama. So I won’t bother to watch it.
