that ship looks EXTREMELY great, but i am still having trouble placing it in the ship continuum. between ambassador and galaxy would probably work. did i mention that the ships looks EXTREMELY great? impressive, impressive work. are there any other views we could see?

(I need to stop posting)

This would make a good Ambassodor upgrade (I don't belive that the Yamaguchi is a refit/upgrade). Well. It's beyond me...

Now we need a good name for the ship.
Any suggestions?

Is it pre-ambassador?

Maybe USS Explorer - like the HMS Dreadnought lending its name to a new "type" of ship...

Cool design.

IIRC, there have only been two real instances where a name of a ship has given rise to a type of ship that is what the original named ship is.
1. USS Monitor
2. HMS Dreadnaught

I know.

Big ships in TNG era are "explorer's" a USS Explorer would give us a (fairly cool IMHO) reason for this.

Just an idea.

(I'm back online again!!! Whoohoo!!!!)

Adriatic Class - if you want a class name
USS Roddenberry
USS Saratoga
USS (Insert some inpronounceable Vulcan junk)
Andbasically anything from DITL's Federation Class names.
