Wasn't it awesome we finally got to see Engineering? And this isn't the kind of Engineering with a cheery Scotsman and neatly covered machinery. This is a frighteningly huge, fast moving piece of metal, with little reason to be anywhere close to it.
I wonder how long that damage has been there. I got the impression that the FTL engine room is not something regularly visited.. could it have been there from the start?

Yeah to me - that Engine room isn't one that is visited much. Fantastic episode. How amazing was Laura Roslin's yelling at Tom Zarek over the intercomm.
Also Laura using Baltar's transmission set up to speak to the fleet.
