I'm starting to wonder if the costumes and sets on that show were all made out of toxic materials or something. The Wikipedia lists eighteen actors that played main characters over the years, and six of them—a full third—are now dead. And that's not even counting recurring guests like Tim Choate.
Compare that to the twenty-nine actors who played main characters on contemporary Trek (TNG/DS9/VOY), all of whom are still alive.

Katsulas: chain smoker, died from lung cancer O'Hare: had a heart attack, also severe mental health issues Choate: killed in a motorcycle crash (he might not have been at fault, but bikes tend to have poor crumple zones) Biggs: suffered a freak aortic aneurysm Doyle: "natural causes", but years of hard living as a wingnut (and chronic alcoholism) probably did him few favors Furst: obese for a long time, succumbed to diabetic complications Conaway: wrecked by substance abuse, eventual pneumonia
Losing a third of such a large cast in just over a decade is exceptional, but I think the universe can be mostly exonerated here.

Meanwhile the ladies seem to be doing fine. Claudia Christian recently posted a pic of her having lunch with Furlan, Tallman and Thompson. Sadly the Curse doesn't seem to have much time for natural causes (regardless of the circumstances of Doyle's death - he def went before his time, anyway) so it'll be someone else you don't expect. Not going to try to predict who.
I've had enough of death recently, and closes brushes thereof, as those of you on Facebook know...
