...on my quasi Spring Break. In other words, spending a few days at a friend's place in Arlington, VA. Hopefully get some DC sight-seeing in, maybe get that insurance guy to take a look at my car (the bastards) and get me an estimate, catch up on my art-assignments, and just relax.

But I can't relax tonight. I've got a list of things to get done before I leave tommorow, and tonight I've got to:

Clean my room
Clean the apartment
Do laundry!!!
Clean the kitchen

(Tommorow I've got to run out to UPS and mail a package, make a deposit, get a money order and send it out, buy some food, and do some more laundry, then haul tail to Arlington)

Which sounds easy, except it's not. My room's a mess. Plus, I'm doing a "clean before I move" cleaning, so it's going to take a while. And the kitchen's a mess, I don't know WHAT I'm going to do with all those beer bottles. Eck.

To keep myself entertained, I've popped that TNG tape I'm making into the VCR. I'm starting with Encounter at Farpoint, it's 9:35pm, and I'm sure I'll view all nine episodes on it before I'm done here.

Wish me luck.

Yay! The details of tedium!

In other words, go and do some good art.

Ahhhh! I can actually see my carpet now! No, I'm serious. It's grey. I don't think I've seen it since the last time I went to Boston which was ... last spring break. Dear god, I'm bad at this "cleaning" thing. My cats are running around trying to figure out what's going on. Stupid creatures.

Speaking of which, Encounter at Farpoint is now ending and The Last Outpost is about to begin. With luck, I'll have my room finished by the time it's over. Too bad my neighbors aren't home (I can't borrow their vaccuum cleaner -- dammit!)

Well ...

Heh. I always pack rubbers. Rarely use them, tho, and I won't be doing any serious partying this break. Couldn't cough up the cash to go to Mexico

Erm. Gee -- wonderful. Well, I have now returned. Monday was a nice day -- spent some time playing baseball (with a tennis ball, strangely enough) and just hangin' around.

Tuesday it was raining, but I went into DC with Danny and Em because they had to get some shots for their photography class. Got those at the Watergate and atop the Kennedy Center. Wanted to go to Union Station, but time was running out ... ::grumble:: Oh, well, maybe next time.

Anyway, had a good time. I'm relaxed. Ready to hit the books and take care of the assignments I've got due for next week. Maybe my Fed return'll arrive this week ... that'd be nice, but, ah well

Right, well, I'm off to go chance my band-aid (I stabbed myself in the hand with some scissors -- don't ask).
