Does anyone by chance happen to own Buffy on VCDs? Specificly seasons 6 and 7? And if so, would they maybe possibly mind letting me borrow 'em so I can watch 'em? Thanks!

I highly recommend getting a TV tuner card. I got one on sale for $20, and it does everything my VCR would do, with the added benefit of editing out commercials and such on my computer, and being able to stick an hour and a half of video on a CD that'll play in my DVD player. Beats VHS any day.
Oh, I'm sorry, you asked about Buffy, didn't ya? I can't help ya there.

Or, if you want to be a LITTLE more on the cutting edge of things, get a DVD recorder with a harddrive, then ask yourself how and why the "fuck" you ever used CDRs. B)

Of course, that'd be a violation of the DMCA, so Deer Boy has every reason to whinge. He could get JAILTIME, you know. B)

Is it? Because sa far as I can tell (over here at least), chipping DVDs and stuff isn't illegal in the slightest. It's something that film companies hate you doing, and it voids your guarantee, but illegal? No.

You get a chip installed that makes your player multi-region. Most dealers here will do it. . . But then again, maybe such services aren't so common in the US? Maybe it'd be unpatriotic to watch non-Region 1 DVDs. Maybe they're coming for you now! Run, Jeff, Run! For the children!

In a lot of cases, they don't even chip it - they just cut a wire.
Also, if you're using a console, you can usually buy a Region-Free DVD that'll make the machine region free. Woo.
