nothing new there per typical blotter info... i had first thought this was about masturbating IN the library, LOL. indeed, the whole topic of public libraries and intranet p0rn surfing had been in the news since libraries first got intranet access in past 2 decades... what i am concerned about its the foes of libary pr0n surfing...

There are typical porn filters installed, I'm sure- just like at Kinkos or web cafe places- what's unavoidable is porn sent via e-mail. Even spam porn stuff gets past the filter- any pic inbedded in a message will sail right through for example.
Same with suggestive or explicit images on chatrooms or peer to peer sites.

this is slightly off target but... i asked this yesterday on Macrossworld about email filtering:
"Question: this email address [email protected] used to be on my contacts as a actual person. sometime last year, the email account started spamming me. Now i had learned that someone stopped using it, possibly lossing access to it. So i Sweeped it (my email is provided by Hotmail), placing it on my blocked list. now reading the details says it automatically deletes emails after its placed on the block list. now it does work, 99.9% of the time as i never see the same email spamm address twice... except [email protected] . how is this one email account able to consistantly appear in the junk folder, when others get blocked successfully?"
