More goodbyes than the last half hour of The Return Of The King and David Tennant's last episode as Doctor Who combined!
Love the Enterprise bridge. It feels right.
I;m now wondering whether, rather then the timeline change we were all expecting, the crew of Discovery will be "stuck" a thousand years in the future where we know thanks to "Calypso" there is no Federation anymore, and they start trying to rebuild it - basically, the Star Trek show that Andromeda was meant to be...

But Spock is with them. Or at least he wants to stay with them. I also liked the Enterprise bridge. Fan boys are gonna hate it. Yes, maybe a few too many goodbyes?
One Goodbye I’m not looking forward to, no more Pike. He has been GREAT this season.

Apparently the Enterprise bridge set was pretty expensive. Maybe there's an Enterprise show in the works?
The good byes dragged on too long. Most of the bridge crew were nothing more than extras in Season 1 and while they tried to rectify this in Season 2 there's still no emotional connection to get any reaction out of me.
The show adds another unnecessary gimmick - evac corridors.

Better than last week, although we still have a little bit of the absurd time crystal "science".
I'm not sure if "Calypso" proves the Federation doesn't exist at that time. If Discovery was parked at Terralysium, the Federation might merely be half a galaxy away.
I, too, liked the Enterprise bridge. I think my only gripe is that they maybe could have done with a little less lighting. But other than that, I'd say this is a decent 2010's update of a 1960's set.
Yeah, I'm gonna miss Pike too. Anson Mount is probably the second-best casting choice the show has made. (First place goes to Doug Jones; the man is so underappreciated.)
Also, according to the credits, one of the Enterprise bridge crew is Yeoman Colt, also from "The Cage." Nifty.
Yeah, lots of goodbyes here. I guess we'll see what happens. Maybe they do get stuck in the future. Maybe not.

The Federation exists in the 33rd century. They're the "V'draysh" Craft was talking about.
