I happened to be over at Trekweb earlier today and noticed that Star Trek DS9 and Voyager have been nominated for a number of emmy awards. They include outstanding art direction (DS9: Prodigal Daughter ), and outstanding special visual effects (DS9: What you Leave Behind Voyager: Dark Frontier, Thirty Days, Timeless , among others. Even William Shatner got a nomination, well, his head anyway
Congratulations are definitely in order for that small army of people that make these shows possible
In total, Voyager got 3 nominations, DS9 1 nomination. X-Files got eight nominations. For all you ever wanted to know (and more) about the nominations, here is the list at the official site ------------------ "But, it was so artistically done." -Grand Admiral Thrawn

With the exception of TR2070, Trek has basically swept VFX this year... Yahoo!

A.) I'd hazard a guess that your fifty percent figure is too high.
B.) It's not what you use, it's how you use it.
Of course, these technical awards, while well deserved, do little to sooth the lack of recognition for some outstanding acting. Not that Trek is alone in being overlooked, so it isn't that surprising.

And who says they know that it's reused? I'm not telling them...
And it was all used effectively, so...
If Trek can't win the optical category, we're in trouble...

Hey, give credit where credit is due. I think that Trek deserves it.
