...the fuck?

If there's one thing I hate more than the dredging up of old topics, it's the dredging of of old topics for no reason at all! If you're going to post more, Rama, why not make some sensible discussion and talk about the present, not the past?

Ah, forgive! I actually posted similarly on such a topic on the technology forum, and yet, seeing ancient threads in the profile--and overall excellently argued ones at that--was quite a delight for this old BBer.

Um... the last time I checked, this was the technology forum. Spam, anyone?

And you lose 50 points for being "delighted" about a topic that's been dead for two years. The only reason it's there is because the administrators do not remove or archive topics in this forum.

Well, you know what I was referring to..the Wolf 359 post..

Thank you, and a spectacular 100 points for me for not knowing these topics were not archived and finding these wonderful gems! Despite the fact that I've been around longer than you here, I'm a bit behind the times.

Well, that's a new one: the newbie who comes here approximately a dozen times in two and a half years, annoys everyone by resurrecting old threads and carrying on like a general know-it-all, who then answers criticism from a regular poster by saying he's been here longer, so nyah.

Ignore him and hopefully he'll fuck off for another thirty-odd months.

I'm going to argue that he gets the most points for referring to himself in both the second and third persons (but not first) within a single, three-word sentence.

Oh grow up already. I posted messages that were subject specific and new and then some for nostalgia. It would seem that any problems you have are your own and not really based on any facts. I haven't been any sort of newbie in about 8 yrs. Now if your flawed perception is a problem, you can easily be ignored or otherwise deal with it maturely.

This board hasn't existed for 8 years, so you had to be a newbie here at sometime within the past 8 years...

And so far I haven't seen a single good thread posted by you in the past few days that you've been back. If we want nostalgia, we can use the Search button ourselves, thank you very much. And I think Vogon is basing his statements very much on fact, although his perception is questionably flawed....erm, I mean, nevermind...
